Llangdegfedd
Reservoir

Sucks. A few days down the famous reservoir trying to dupe a morbidly obese Welsh Pike.
Would have been better off playing Scrabble.

At least weather conditions were ok for the first day.

When Dave Chilman offered the chance to sample the Pike fishing over on one of Llangdegfedd's open periods, I nearly snatched his hands off. But at the end of it all... Not good, really. An armada of boats paying dodgems at the starting line, a list of rules as long as your arm, and then finally a realisation that 450 acres or so can actually begin to feel claustrophobic.

Yup - three days in August chucking bits of metal and plastic about for the sum total of a handful of hand-sized Perch. I've had more fun.

Dave hooked a monster... And here it is coming to the boat!

One of the few living creatures to grace us with its presence over the three days. Not quite what we were after.

Last day and not inspired, so taking the opportunity to top up the tan.

Nice reflections at the end of the trip.
